Zelensky did not agree with Zaluzhny’s opinion regarding the situation on the front line

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky refused to consider the situation in the Russian special operation zone a stalemate, while acknowledging people’s fatigue from the conflict. He stated this during a press conference, a fragment of which was published by the Telegram channel of the Unian agency.

“People are tired, everyone is tired, regardless of their status. It’s clear. But this is not a stalemate, I emphasize again,” he said.

Ukraine, Zelensky added, has been in more difficult circumstances, but has overcome them. He also noted the superiority of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the air, and, in his opinion, only the supply of F-16 aircraft can reverse this situation.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, in an interview with The Economist magazine, said that the conflict in Ukraine had reached a dead end and Kyiv would not be able to achieve a breakthrough. According to him, for this to happen, a sharp technological leap in the military field is necessary. Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov later stated journalists that the Kremlin does not agree with this assessment. “All goals that have been set must be achieved. And the Kyiv regime should have understood long ago that even talking about any prospects for victory on the battlefield is absurd,” he said.

Earlier, The Sunday Times wrote that disagreements arose between the commander-in-chief and Zelensky regarding the completion of the Ukrainian counter-offensive. According to the publication, Zaluzhny believes that the offensive is nearing completion and that it is necessary to prepare for the operation next year. Zelensky is disappointed with the results of the counter-offensive and is of the opinion that it is impossible to stop for now, since the patience of the Western allies may soon come to an end.
