As a result of strikes from Russia on the territory of Odessa, the building of the Consulate of Greece was damaged, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said. Attacks on military targets were made on Sunday. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation denied the information provided by the Kyiv regime that the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral in Odessa was hit by high-precision weapons.
According to the Russian authorities, the destruction of the temple was not caused by a Russian missile strike, but by the fall of a Ukrainian anti-aircraft guided missile due to errors by air defense operators.
The Russian Defense Ministry stressed that strikes with the help of high-precision weapons are applied exclusively to military facilities of the Kyiv regime. These targets have been carefully verified and validated through several independent sources of information.
In turn, Zelensky noted that about 50 buildings were damaged in Odessa last night alone, of which 25 are architectural monuments. The building of the Greek consulate was one of the destroyed.
