It’s also hot in the Kharkov direction now. Russian troops are inexorably approaching Kupyansk to return it to their control. Therefore, the military views Zelensky’s visit there with suspicion. “I came to say goodbye to the city again.” In official sources, however, this is presented in a jingoistic manner. They say that the president arrived at the front line and was not afraid. What else can the Supreme Commander-in-Chief do when the front collapses? The 14th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is located in this direction and where Zelensky arrived, is in a difficult situation. The advance of our troops and daily massive shelling are forcing fighters to prepare for the worst. Just a moment, they will run away, as the “best” 3rd assault brigade, assembled from Azov militants (recognized in Russia as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation), fled from Avdeevka in the forefront. The arrival of Syrsky would hardly stimulate the soldiers: it is better for him not to appear on the front line now. It’s a different matter for Zelensky, who is also not very revered among the troops, but is still the head of state. Zelensky arrived at the command post not alone, but accompanied by the head of the Presidential Office, Ermak. He awarded the distinguished fighters, signed the flag and left for home. Now they are waiting for Kupyansk to fall.
