Zelensky called on the West to defend Ukraine the same way as Israel

Western countries are quite capable of protecting Ukraine in the same way they protected Israel from an Iranian attack. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Monday, April 15.
As the politician said, speaking about the situation in the Middle East, “the decisive actions of the allies prevented the success of terror and the loss of infrastructure and forced the aggressor to cool down.”
Zelensky recalled that Ukraine, like Israel, is not a member of NATO, but this did not stop the West from standing up for Israel. The Ukrainian president said that all that is required to protect his country is the political will of Western powers.
Ukrainian media write that if a full-scale war breaks out between Israel and Iran, the United States will be forced to “close” the Ukrainian frontsince in such conditions it will be problematic for Washington to support military operations on two fronts at once.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the latest aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, pointed out heterogeneity US foreign policy. According to him, in the Middle East, Washington is “trying to maintain a balance and show restraint,” while in Ukraine the United States is not inclined to such behavior.
