The plane with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on board landed at an air base in the United States, transmits CNN.
It is specified that this is the first visit of the Ukrainian leader since the beginning of the Russian special operation.
White House December 21 confirmed Zelensky’s visit to the USA. During the trip, Zelensky will meet with President Joe Biden, take part in a press conference at the White House, and later address the US Congress. The topics of negotiations between the leaders of Ukraine and the United States will be military operations in Ukraine, support for Kyiv by Washington and allies, as well as sanctions against Russia.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov informedthat the Kremlin does not expect any positive changes to occur after Zelensky’s visit to Washington. He also stressed that the continued supply of arms to Ukraine is leading to an aggravation of the conflict.
