The documents have not yet been published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Zelensky added that the restrictions affected representatives of Russian sports, “those who help keep mercenary structures” and others.
February 12 Zelensky approved decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against 199 Russian citizens and one Ukrainian. Among those who fell under the restrictions are Yuri Ushakov, adviser to the President of the Russian Federation on international affairs, Larisa Brycheva, head of the state legal department of the president, Igor Borovkov, former head of the apparatus of the Military Industrial Commission, and Renat Karchaa, adviser to the head of Rosatom, who accompanied the IAEA delegation during while visiting the Zaporizhzhya NPP, as well as the former chief engineer of the Ukrainian company Energoatom, Yuriy Chernichuk, who was appointed at the end of November last year to the post of new director of the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
In mid-January, Zelensky approved the imposition of sanctions against 198 people, including Russian military correspondents, presenters and actors, as well as citizens of Ukraine and Belarus. Prior to this, the Ukrainian president signed a decree on the introduction of personal sanctions against 119 Russian and Ukrainian cultural figures, show business, political scientists and media managers.
