Zaporozhye region may expand the list of evacuated settlements

In the Zaporozhye region, the list of evacuated settlements that are near the line of contact may be expanded, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, chairman of the movement “We are with Russia”.

Formerly Acting Governor Evgeny Balitsky informedthat residents of 18 border settlements of the Zaporozhye region, including Energodar, will be relocated deep into the region for security purposes. He attributed this decision to the increased shelling of settlements located in close proximity to the line of contact.

“However, as it turned out, not all settlements were included in the list for partial evacuation, so I think it will be further adjusted,” wrote Rogov in his Telegram channel. “RIA Novosti” he also saidthat this list will be expanded.

Rogov explained this need by the fact that the Ukrainian military began to more actively launch rocket and artillery strikes on settlements in the frontline zone – these are Vasilyevka, Pologi, Tokmak, Mikhailovka and others.

In addition, the Ukrainian authorities carried out another mobilization in early spring and, according to Rogov, from the end of March to the beginning of April, the assault units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are “full-blooded and ready for a counteroffensive.” He also pointed to NATO air activity near the southwestern borders. “Yesterday, the American strategic UAV Global Hawk spent the whole day reconnaissance of the Crimea, the liberated part of the Zaporozhye region and the coast of the Krasnodar Territory,” he wrote, emphasizing that partial evacuation is not the abandonment of cities.
