The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, in her Telegram channel caustically commented the reaction of Western politicians to the opening speeches of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Moscow.
According to the diplomat, the West did not notice the main thing – the Russian and Chinese leaders talked about the many years of constructive (not destructive) development of bilateral relations between Russia and China. Moreover, according to Zakharova, we are talking about creative activity “not only in the interests of the two countries, but also in the interests of the whole world.”
“Western regimes foamed while listening to the introductory words of the President of Russia and the Chairman of the PRC at the talks in Moscow. There is envy, anger, and banal jealousy,” Zakharova wrote.
Readers of Western media appreciated the meeting between Putin and Xi Jinping
