Zakharova: The US is consistent to the point of pedantry – it betrays its allies without looking

Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, commented on the statements of the coordinator of strategic communications at the US National Security Council, John Kirby, about the plans of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to wage war on his own.
Earlier, Kirby said at a briefing that Zelensky is not asking for foreign troops and wants to fight the war on his own, ruling out the possibility of sending US troops to Ukraine. Zakharova noted that American support for the allies is overly strict – they betray them without thinking.
She also pointed out that Kyiv’s desire to join NATO does not correspond to Zelensky’s intentions to conduct independent military operations. The diplomat also spoke sarcastically about Zelensky’s past in KVN.
“Zelensky wanted to fight on his own with a nuclear power since kindergarten, that’s why he went to KVN, forgot to add Kirby,” Zakharova noted.
