Russia will not forgive or forget the crime committed by the Latvian authorities. This is how the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented on the actions of the authorities of the Baltic state to expel Russians.
The speaker of the department assured that all Russian citizens who are threatened to be expelled from Latvia from its territory will be provided with the necessary assistance.
At the same time, Zakharova called Latvia’s steps openly criminal, emphasizing that “every accomplice in this crime should know that Russia will not forgive or forget this.”
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that what is happening in the Baltic states, including Latvia, in relation to Russian-speaking citizens, is of a very serious nature. He warned that this directly affects Russia’s security.
Russian military pensioner Boris Katkov, who was forced to leave Latvia, said that the action to expel him from the country was planned in advance. The operation carried out by the authorities of the neighboring state is connected with Katkov’s active work in the Latvian-Russian Cooperation Association and assistance to his compatriots, he believes.
