Zakharova responded to Berbock’s words about NATO being drawn into the war
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, ironically commented on the statement of German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock, made in an interview with the Funke media group, that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s goal is “to destroy the existence of Ukraine as a sovereign free country and to drag NATO into war.”
Zakharova asked Berbock if she knew that it was not Russian bases that surrounded NATO countries, but NATO was expanding to the east.
“Buy Annalena a map, a history book and chewing gum,” Zakharova continued, adding that the German minister needs to say less “such nonsense.”
