The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the words of the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, that those who support Moscow in Africa allegedly do not know who Russian President Vladimir Putin is and where the Donbass is located. According to her, Borrell should not measure people by himself.
“Josep, you don’t measure people by yourself. The degradation of the collective West does not mean the same processes in other peoples. Let me remind you how the German Foreign Minister believes that the distance between countries is hundreds of thousands of kilometers, the British Prime Minister does not distinguish the Baltic Sea from the Black Sea, the speaker of the US House of Representatives glorifies Wuhan instead of Ukraine, the US President confuses Cambodia with Colombia, ”she wrote in your Telegram channel.
Earlier today, Borrell, at a meeting of the European Parliament Committee on Combating Foreign Interference, said that in Africa, young people took to the streets with posters “Putin, you saved the Donbass and now you will save us!”. In his opinion, they do not know who Putin is and where the Donbass is located, thus he questioned the sincerity of the pro-Russian slogans.
Borrell also complained that the people of some European countries also support Russia. As an example, he cited the Balkans, where, according to him, you can find a poster “Thank you! Happy birthday, Mr Putin.”
