The Russian Foreign Ministry does not intend to ignore the role of Western intelligence agencies providing Ukraine with intelligence information. Their data helps to build routes for attacks by Ukrainian drones, expressed the position of the department, the official representative of the ministry, Maria Zakharova.

She recalled that on August 22 over the Black Sea noticed two US MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance and strike drones and a Turkish-made TV2 Bayraktar operational-tactical drone. UAVs were collecting data in the area of ​​the Crimean peninsula.

The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also said the foreign ministry condemns Kyiv’s attacks on civilian targets in Russia on August 22 and 23. Zakharova noted that these actions “will be the subject of the closest attention from the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation.”

On the night of August 22-23, three UAVs tried attack Moscow. Two of them neutralized air defense systems in the sky over the Mozhaisk and Khimki districts, another hit the building of the Moscow City complex under construction. According to the Ministry of Defense, the third drone was suppressed by electronic warfare.

Also on the morning of August 23, Ukrainian drones attacked the village of Lava in the Belgorod region: three civilians were killed.
