Zakharova harshly commented on Sweden’s decision to complete the investigation into sabotage at Nord Stream

During the weekly briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that today, February 7, in Sweden “the next stage of the farce called the Swedish investigation into sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines ended.”

The Swedish prosecutor’s office officially decided to close the investigation due to “the lack of Swedish jurisdiction in this case.”

“It is stated that there is no evidence of the involvement of Swedish nationals in the crime or the use of Swedish territory to prepare sabotage, which, as stated, occurred in international waters,” the diplomat was quoted as saying.

“This is really “Visiting a Fairy Tale”. It seems that these are notes from a doctor observing a mentally abnormal patient,” said Maria Zakharova.

It is especially noted in the decision of the Swedish prosecutor’s office, Zakharova continued to quote, that during the investigation there was “good international cooperation with several countries, primarily Denmark and Germany, during which any information during the Swedish investigation was not communicated to the Russian side.”
