The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on her Telegram channel about reports that US President Joe Biden misspoke on MSNBC, confusing Ukraine with Iraq. “The United States should not have gotten involved in Ukraine. That is, the United States should not have gotten involved in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Biden said.
Maria Zakharova noted that the media interpreted Biden’s words as indicating that he confused Ukraine with another state. “He’s not confused,” the diplomat believes.
Zakharova added that in her opinion, Biden “can no longer contain within himself what everyone understands: the States have bloodily disgraced themselves with the Ukrainian project.”
