Zakharova considered the position of the West on the attack of drones on Moscow “the meanest”

Western countries are demonstrating the “meanest position” on the attack of Ukrainian drones on Moscow. This statement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova in broadcast Sputnik radio.

“This is, of course, an absolutely vile position. <...> They see and comment only on what is beneficial to them. This is propaganda,” she said.

Commenting on the reaction of the White House, Zakharova said that she had come up with a new term – “non-cadets.” We are talking about people who are “not in the know,” she explained. The diplomat called this position “very comfortable, very mean and time-tested.” “How can you always be unaware or always hear, but not understand what happened?” Zakharova was outraged.

The day before, on May 30, answering journalists’ questions about the drone attack on Moscow, in the White House declaredthat “they are still collecting information about what happened.” They added that they do not support attacks inside Russia. British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley evaded a direct answer to the question of Kyiv’s involvement in the incident, pointing to Ukraine’s right to defend itself and “project force beyond its borders.”

At the UN declared, which condemns “any attack on civilians and civilian infrastructure.” At the same time, they noted that “massive attacks” on Ukrainian cities “do not compare” with the attack on Moscow.

According to the Ministry of Defense, eight Ukrainian drones were involved in the attack, five of which were shot down, three more were suppressed by electronic warfare and deviated from the targets. Upon the incident, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on terrorism under Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin considered morning attack “a clear sign of terrorist activity” in Kyiv. The head of state also expressed concern about Kyiv’s attempts to “cause a response from Russia.”
