The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, in her Telegram channel, declared the illegality of the actions of Bulgaria, which first allowed the flight of an aircraft with the Russian delegation to participate in the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe over its territory, and then banned it.
Bulgarian representatives decided to change their decision if Zakharova was on board the aircraft. They issued permission for the plane to fly from Russia, which does not apply to Zakharova.
“For the first time in our history, the country’s authorities banned not an airplane, but a person from being in the sky. This is exactly what was stated in the note from the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry. It was possible for the plane to fly over the territory of Bulgaria, but Maria Zakharova was not allowed to fly on the plane. This is illegal,” she noted.
It is clarified that the plane of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in North Macedonia on Thursday night via Greece.
