A statement by the official representative of the department, Maria Zakharova, appeared on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry in which she called the accusations of “illegal” military-technical cooperation between Russia and the DPRK made by the “collective West” unfounded.
According to her, these unsubstantiated accusations are made in the favorite style of highly likely (“with a high degree of probability”).
Zakharova also noted that neither Washington nor Tokyo were granted investigative powers.
At the same time, the Foreign Ministry representative emphasized that Russia responsibly fulfills its international obligations, including UN Security Council resolutions. According to her, this does not prevent the development of traditional friendly relations with neighbors, including the DPRK.
