Zakharova appreciated Poland’s calls to supply missiles to Ukraine

Zakharova commented on calls from the Polish Foreign Ministry to give Kyiv more long-range missiles

By calling for the transfer of more long-range missiles to the Kyiv regime, the Polish Foreign Ministry is acting against its country, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote in her telegram channel.

Earlier, the new head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Radoslaw Sikorski, called for the transfer of more long-range missiles to Ukraine for attacks on Russian territory.

Zakharova noted that the Polish minister obviously doesn’t have enough incidents when Ukrainian missiles fell on Polish territory.

“These missiles, according to Sikorsky, should have a range that allows them to reach the borders of Poland? As they say, New Year’s wishes should come true,” said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

She also ironically noted Sikorsky’s lack of ideas other than those dictated from Washington.

“But not to the same extent as to act against one’s own country. Although the big question is which country he considers his own,” she wrote.

Earlier, German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said that Germany is not yet ready to supply Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine. The Bild newspaper also reported that the German government has no plans to supply Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine in the foreseeable future. Citing sources in government circles in Germany and Ukraine, the publication writes that so far Kyiv has not been officially denied supplies, although an official request has already been received. At the same time, as reported, the decision has already been made; Taurus missiles will not be delivered to Ukraine in the near future.

Former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that the decision to provide Taurus cruise missiles to Kyiv could provoke a war in Germany, and German politicians would themselves be to blame for this. He explained that the German leadership is naive to think that their actions will not cause any consequences. Ritter compared the transfer of missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Iran transferring a formidable weapon to the Mexican cartel to attack the United States.
