Yavlinsky spoke about a serious conversation with Putin at a meeting in October

Chairman of the federal political committee of the Yabloko party Grigory Yavlinsky spoke about his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place at the end of October and was dedicated to the ceasefire in Ukraine. According to Yavlinsky, talk was serious, and the President listened to him carefully.

The essence of the meeting was the need for a ceasefire. According to Yavlinsky, the Russian President is the only person capable of making such decisions, and that is why this meeting took place.

“The point is to cease fire. That’s all. There is nothing more yet. Everything else can arise when negotiations begin after the ceasefire. But this is not soon, this is not about that now... He listened carefully... The conversation was serious," said the chairman of the Yabloko political committee.

The meeting between Grigory Yavlinsky and Vladimir Putin was first reported by Kommersant correspondent Andrei Kolesnikov on October 26. He said that Yavlinsky arrived in the Kremlin late in the evening of October 25 after the president's meeting with leaders of religious associations. Later, the Yabloko press service reported that the military operation in Ukraine and the state of the Russian economy were discussed at the meeting. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov refused to comment on the information about the meeting.
