Chairman of the federal political committee of the Yabloko party Grigory Yavlinsky said during a speech at the reporting and election congress of the organization that the initiative group has begun collecting signatures for his nomination for the presidential election in Russia.
Yavlinsky added that the collection of signatures will continue for a couple of weeks, after which he will decide whether to run as a rival to current leader Vladimir Putin in the March 2024 elections.
Yavlinsky’s speech was broadcast on the Yabloko website. He also assessed the consequences of the special military operation on the internal situation in Russia. In addition, he said that Western sanctions did not work against the Russian Federation.
