“Yandex Travel” made a rating of the most unpopular tourist destinations for the New Year
[ad_1]
The countries of Latin America and the Middle East became the most unpopular destinations for Russians to travel on New Year’s holidays. As follows from the data of the Yandex Travel booking service, Argentina, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman and Peru are the least in demand for trips on holidays.
Latin America and the Middle East accounted for 0.1% of booked tickets. The low demand for these destinations in Yandex Travel was attributed to high travel costs, as well as “lack of awareness” about them. The top ten rare routes included Japan, Tunisia, Lebanon, as well as Algeria and the Philippines.
Among the domestic destinations for New Year’s travel this year, the demand for Crimean resorts has decreased. Yalta, Sevastopol and Simferopol, which used to be in the top five popular destinations, have left the top 10 this year. Popular with Russians this year are Kaliningrad, Arkhyz, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yaroslavl, Kislovodsk and Nizhny Novgorod.
