The management of “Yandex” announced that the company is switching to a hybrid mode of operation. Employees will have to work from the office at least two or three days a week, the company’s press service told Kommersant.
For work, Yandex employees will be able to choose not only offices in Russia, but also any in the international hub. Currently, the company has foreign offices in Turkey, Kazakhstan, as well as Armenia and Serbia. At the same time, Yandex noted that remote mode will be available for some cases. About what cases there is a speech, in the company did not specify.
On the transition of Yandex employees to remote work, as in a pandemic, the company announced in February 2022 – after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine. At that time, the company’s management noted that many employees were “emotionally hard and would like to be more with their families.”
In December 2022 in Yandex reported on the transition to a hybrid mode and asked the employees who left Russia to return to the office. According to The Bell (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), the initiative to return to the office was made by the ex-head of the group in Russia, Tigran Khudaverdyan, who left the post due to sanctions, but remained in the management of Yandex. In particular, the top manager noted that the efficiency of work in teams where most of the employees work remotely is falling.
