Yalta Economic Forum postponed to 2023

The Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF) will not take place this year, it has been postponed to 2023. About this TASS informed Permanent Representative of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov.
“It (the forum. – Ed.) is being postponed until next year,” the permanent representative said, answering a question about holding the YIEF in 2022. The reasons for the postponement were not specified.
In mid-February, Muradov announced that the forum was being postponed until the fall of this year. He explained the decision by an increase in the incidence of COVID-19, emphasizing that the transfer is not associated with “tension around”. In April, the head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said that the YIEF would take place in the fourth quarter of 2022 due to the “unstable international situation.”
The Yalta Forum has been held since 2015 in Crimea traditionally in April. It was attended by businessmen from Europe, Latin America, Africa, as well as the Donetsk People’s Republic. The previous forum took place in 2019. Then 4,500 people came to it, including 807 foreign delegates. At the meeting, 102 agreements were signed for a total amount of 215 billion rubles. In 2020 and 2021 The event was canceled due to the pandemic.
