According to the press service of the government, the Chinese leader called the talks with the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Qiang productive and noted the planned implementation of all the agreements reached earlier. It is noted that Xi paid attention to the development of trade between Russia and China, which reached $73.14 billion in the first four months of 2023.
“The President of China stressed that the cooperation between Russia and China, which has great potential, is reaching a qualitatively new level, and proposed to strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation,” the press service of the Cabinet added.
On the evening of May 22, Mishustin arrived on an official visit to China. During his working trip, he has already taken part in a meeting of the Russian-Chinese business forum in Shanghai, and also met with the president of the BRICS New Development Bank and representatives of Russian business circles, etc.
On May 24, the Russian Prime Minister arrived in Beijing, where Russian-Chinese talks were held in an expanded format with the participation of Li Qiang. Mishustin also met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Russian prime minister today completed his official visit to China.
