WP: Kiev has only a few weeks to return the territories

Professor of Public Administration at Harvard Douglas Dillon University Graham Ellison in an interview with the newspaper Washington Post declared that Ukraine would lose territories for many years if it did not succeed on the battlefield in the next few weeks.
“Ukraine will not be able to reclaim the entire territory within 16 years unless the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the coming weeks are more successful than they have been to date,” Ellison said.
According to him, if the Ukrainian military remains at a standstill at the front this summer, then the conflict could move into a new phase. At the moment, many supporters of Ukraine in Europe are leaning towards the opinion of the global south, calling on both sides of the Ukrainian conflict to stop the killings and start negotiations.
“If a peace agreement is reached, then the parties will declare “victory” the achievements that will be achieved by each of the parties at the time of the ceasefire,” Ellison added.
