Wide-brimmed hats, long gloves, sequins and feathers at NY Fashion Week

The other day, New York Fashion Week ended its work, where designers showed their ideas for the fall-winter 2023-2024 season. The shows revealed optimistic trends for the upcoming cold season. Finally, tight-fitting silhouettes returned, followed by flared trousers and year-round skirts, and sequins took the lead, slightly inferior to feathers. Well, crop tops are getting smaller, often reaching circles on the nipples, as well as just bras that combine in style with the rest of the toilet.

Dutch Proenza Schouler designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCullough shared that the brand’s 20th anniversary collection “revolved less about fashion and more about real women in our lives.” As a result, on the catwalk we saw fitted jackets equipped with a drawstring belt, wraparound A-line skirts, and printed jewelry hidden in the cuts and lining of the models. Eco-leather dresses are decorated with large transverse plates.

Following the ban on natural furs, there was an urgent need for luxurious down jackets that can be worn on the shoulders with the same chic, and designer Joseph Altuzarra decided to satisfy her. The Altuzarra collection features long and short down jackets trimmed with large fur collars, fitted dresses with pleats and oversized knitted hats with long gloves as accented accessories. A feature of the Altuzzaro fall/winter 2023-2024 collection is a floral pattern, however, eco-leather dresses are also included in the fashion trend.

A little further, in the sense of fashion for vegetation, the Christian Siriano brand went. The podium for the show was decorated with whole flowerbeds of roses, and bright pink buds adorned almost all models of clothing. Which, however, was quite combined with a fitted silhouette, deep cuts on long skirts and wide-brimmed hats as an accented accessory.

Obviously, the fashion trends for the upcoming cold season clearly point to the resurgence of female sexuality, despite the fact that sneakers, tracksuits and hoodies are still in trend. Bronx and Banco showed super-sexy womenswear in New York. In them, an imperfect body is literally not left a single chance, but the result is beautiful.

Old-school Michael Kors also did not remain in fashionable debt. Shiny jumpsuits are considered the main trend of his collection for next season, but I would just like to draw attention to the fact that the silhouette of overalls is also tight-fitting, and a large pendant has become an accent accessory, which has come into fashion right now along with a wide belt “on the hips” , effectively emphasizing the waist.
