Electric scooter rental service Whoosh launches electric bike rental in the Moscow region and St. Petersburg. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the company.

The fleet of new electric transport in the Moscow region will amount to 2,500 electric bicycles, and in St. Petersburg – 1,500. In total, Whoosh will invest 480 million rubles in expanding its territory. (or 120,000 rubles for one such bike). The first electric bikes are available in St. Petersburg, and later they will appear in the Moscow region.

The press service noted that the bikes of the Chinese company Ninebot with an additional Whoosh module, which were developed this year, will be delivered to the parks. Bicycles will automatically slow down in “slow zones” and, like scooters, they can be parked in designated areas.

Whoosh is an electric vehicle rental service. He launched the rental of electric scooters in 2018, and in 2022 he entered the Moscow Exchange, where he raised 2.1 billion rubles during the IPO. Since then, the company’s shares have risen in price by 28%.
