White House says there are no threats to Poland from Wagner

The United States does not see threats from PMC “Wagner” against Poland. This was stated by the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council John Kirby at a briefing.
“We are not aware of any specific threat from Wagner against Poland or any of our other NATO allies. And we, of course, are closely monitoring this, – noted he (TASS quote).
On July 20, the Belarusian Defense Ministry announced joint exercises with Wagner at the Brestsky training ground – 13 km from the Brest checkpoint on the border with Poland. The exercises will last for a week. After that, Warsaw decided to transfer military formations from the west to the east of the country.
On July 29, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the movement of about a hundred Wagner PMC fighters to the Belarusian-Polish border in the area of the Suwalki corridor and called this decision “a step towards a further hybrid attack on Polish territory.” On July 31, Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration of Poland Maciej Wansik on the air of a Polish radio station informedthat the Polish services control the activities of PMC “Wagner” in Belarus. According to him, the situation should not be underestimated.
August 1, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko declaredthat the fighters of PMC “Wagner” do not plan to attack the territory of Poland. According to him, the purpose of the exercises is the transfer of combat experience.
