On February 7, the London auction house is holding a special auction dedicated to the acclaimed Netflix series about the royal family. The first season of “The Crown” was released in 2016, the last, sixth – in 2023. And now the studio is offering for sale sets and cars, furniture and jewelry, as well as numerous dresses worn by Claire Foy (Queen Elizabeth), Vanessa Kirby (Princess Margaret), and Elizabeth Dibicki (Princess Diana). All the props were crafted with truly impressive attention to detail and are as close to real royal items as possible. This means that it makes sense to bargain for a replica of a gilded carriage of the 18th century (this is the most expensive lot, estimate £30-50 thousand), and for the coronation outfit of Elizabeth II with a red robe (£20-30 thousand), and for a copy of the engagement dress Lady Diana’s rings (£2-3 thousand) – worn by Emma Corinne’s character in the series. Among the 160 lots, several scripts of individual episodes of “The Crown” are offered with autographs of the actors.
