Over the five years of RSV’s existence, more than 20 million people from more than 150 countries of the world have become participants in 26 programs, and this is “impressive,” the president said.

Putin added, citing VTsIOM data, that the proportion of young people in Russia who consider the conditions for self-realization in the country sufficient has grown from 37% to more than 80% in six years.

“The project “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”, of course, is in demand. The logic of all actions within the framework of this project is to put people in the center of attention, a specific person with his ambitions in the best sense of the word and with his desire for personal achievements and a certain contribution to the efforts of the state and the whole society in key areas of development “, Putin said.

He also noted that all project participants meet people who have achieved concrete results in life, and these results are “generally recognized.” These experts acted both as lecturers and as mentors for participants in RSV projects, he said.

RSV Director General and RANEPA Rector Alexei Komissarov noted that tens of thousands of project winners were able to change their lives, for example, get an internship at the best companies, get a job in the civil service, and work with a personal mentor. He also spoke about the implementation of many projects proposed by the platform participants.

“By the way, many of the initiatives that are currently working were proposed by the participants in our projects, announced at previous supervisory boards, and the relevant decisions were made. For example, the revived Knowledge society, the tourist project More than a Journey, the Movement of the First, and others,” Komissarov said.

2023 has been declared the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, Putin recalled, so Komissarov suggested starting the discussion with a speech by Kristina Kopotilova, a kindergarten methodologist, a finalist in one of the RSV projects. She proposed to the president to create in Russia a single personnel reserve in the education system to assign its participants to any regions of the country. And she asked to create an educational program similar to the “school of governors” for training managerial personnel in the education system.

The idea of ​​creating a personnel reserve in the field of education was supported by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova. “We only agree with this, especially since personnel, especially for rural and remote settlements, are very important. <...> Therefore, we only support and we will work in this direction with Russia – the Land of Opportunities,” she said.

The vice-premier also added that now the education system needs about 22,000 specialists.

Anna Kozlova, the winner of the developer competition, told the President about the prospects for the development of the computer games industry. According to her, modern computer games are “products at the intersection of high technology, art and education” that help develop, gain new knowledge, and also adapt people with disabilities to reality.

Putin agreed with her and added that the gaming industry is a “colossal multi-billion dollar” business. “The game should help a person develop, help find himself, should help educate a person both within the framework of universal human values ​​and within the framework of patriotism – also in the good sense of the word, not “leavened”, but broad, from a humanitarian point of view, thorough,” he stressed. .

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that a quarter of the Russian population regularly play computer games. “Unfortunately, there are no Russian engines, platforms on which we could create our games,” he said. At the same time, the creation of such a platform is already underway, Chernyshenko noted.

Putin also noted the importance of artificial intelligence. Its development is no less significant than nuclear and rocket projects in the Soviet era, he believes. After that, he turned to the head of Sberbank German Gref, jokingly asking if artificial intelligence would replace him. “I hope not in my lifetime, but everything is moving towards this,” Gref replied.

The President also spoke with volunteer Ilya Shtokman. Previously, he became the winner of the Leaders of Russia competition for managers, after that he became the first vice-mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, and has been in the Lugansk People’s Republic for nine months now, refusing to “reserve”.

Putin expects cities, streets and schools to be named after the participants in the special operation. One of Russia’s largest gas fields in the Barents Sea is called Shtokman, he recalled. “It’s not named after you. But I am sure that streets, cities, parks, and schools will be named after your colleagues,” the president said.
