The German defense concern Rheinmetall has decided to increase prices for 155mm ammunition, in demand in the conflict in Ukraine, by more than 1.5 times since the start of the Russian special operation. This was reported by Welt.

“Before the start of the Ukrainian conflict, the price of artillery ammunition in the amount of 2,000 euros per unit was considered the standard market price,” the publication says.

We are talking about an agreement that was concluded on July 10 between a department subordinate to the German Ministry of Defense and Rheinmetall, according to which until 2029 the concern will supply ammunition worth 1.2 billion euros.

The document obtained by the publication states that under the contract, Rheinmetall undertakes to supply 333,333 ammunition at an average price of 3.6 thousand per ammunition.
