Inflation in Russia accelerated to 0.02% from March 7 to 13. This is evidenced by the data of the weekly statistics Rosstat. Since the beginning of the year, consumer prices have increased by 1.32%.
Gasoline prices rose 0.01% over the week after falling 0.01% a week earlier. Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have decreased by 0.07%.
Among fruits and vegetables, prices for tomatoes rose by 6.8%, onions – by 2.2%, bananas – by 1.7%, apples – by 0.5%, beets – by 0.3%. At the same time, cucumbers fell in price – by 10%, potatoes – by 0.9%, cabbage – by 0.8%, carrots – by 0.1%.
13 types of products went up in price: eggs – by 1.01%, millet, flour and frozen fish – by 0.5%, powdered milk formulas for baby food – by 0.3%, sugar – by 0.23%, buckwheat – by 0.2%, beef, canned meat for baby food – by 0.2%.
Among non-food products, prices for toilet soap and toilet paper increased by 0.4%, matches and diapers for newborns – by 0.2%.
During the week, the price of analgin rose by 0.46%, Levomekol ointment – by 0.34%, allochol – by 0.23%, anti-inflammatory drug Nimesulide – by 0.22%, multivitamins – 0.16%.
The cost of flying in the economy class cabin increased by 4.27% compared to 0.27% a week earlier.
According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economy, this year inflation will be 5.5%, according to the medium-term forecast of the Central Bank – 5-7%. The head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina admitted that in the coming months inflation in annual terms will slow down to 4%.
