Washington will continue sanctions pressure on Wagner PMCs, the White House said

The US government will continue to impose sanctions on PMC Wagner so that this organization loses its ability to “cause chaos and violence around the world,” the White House said.
As John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the US National Security Council, said at the briefing, appropriate measures will be taken to limit the ability of Wagner PMCs in their further actions, regardless of their location.
He noted that sanctions had already been applied to PMC “Wagner” in connection with their participation in transnational criminal activities. Nevertheless, this military company continues its activities not only on the territory of Ukraine, but also in various countries of Africa and other regions of the world.
Kirby also emphasized that it is still too early to make predictions about the future actions of the Wagner PMC and their reaction to sanctions pressure. However, the United States intends to continue to take the necessary measures to stop their destabilizing role and prevent the spread of violence on a global scale.
