Ukraine received the first NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems from the United States. This was announced by the CEO of Raytheon Technologies Greg Hayes.

In an interview with CNBC, he noted that the company has already delivered two such complexes to the Ukrainian authorities, and now these systems are being deployed.

Earlier, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council, noted that the United States expects Kyiv to receive new air defense systems in the very near future. In total, Ukraine should receive eight NASAMS complexes.

NASAMS is a mobile anti-aircraft missile system designed to combat maneuvering aerodynamic targets at low and medium altitudes.
