The White House has not yet made a final decision on the supply of ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles to Ukraine, said strategic communications coordinator John Kirby. These missiles, with a range of up to 300 km, have become the subject of lengthy discussions in the United States.
“No decision has been made yet,” Kirby said in an interview with The Daily Telegraph. According to him, President Joe Biden has not expressed an official position on the supply of ATACMS, but continues to insist on the need for interagency cooperation between the Department of Defense and the State Department in the context of discussions on this issue in the National Security Council.
The Wall Street Journal noted on September 15 that the Biden administration is considering the possibility of transferring ATACMS to Ukraine this coming fall, but the final decision will have to be made by the American leader himself.
