How informs Foreign Policy, Washington did not rule out that the chair of the American ambassador to Moscow after the resignation of John Sullivan may remain vacant for a long time.
According to the publication, the appointment of the ambassador may be delayed “for months or longer due to tense relations between the United States and Russia.”
“The White House intends to announce the next ambassador, but at the moment we do not have a candidate for a preliminary announcement,” the US State Department spokesman was quoted as saying.
