Wargonzo announced the capture of Majorsk

The Telegram channel Wargonzo stated that sources reported “the liberation of the territory of Majorsk, the fighting for which had been going on for several months.” The message says that the settlement was taken under control by the “1st Donetsk Corps”.
The channel reports that in 8 years the settlement “was turned into one large fortified area, where several deep concreted command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were located.”
As for the strategic importance of establishing control over Maiorsk, the channel writes that it enables the RF Armed Forces to “develop an offensive against Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk)”. It is also indicated that a dam is located in Mayorsk, “the opening of which will allow restoring the water supply of the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal.”
