“Wagnerian” spoke about a resident of Artemovsk, who did not live a day before the liberation of the city

An elderly resident of Artemovsk (Ukrainian name Bakhmut) did not live a day before the liberation of the city, dying from a mortar attack by Ukrainian nationalists, a fighter of the Wagner group told RIA Novosti.

The fighter noted that the tragedy happened at dawn, when the man left the basement of the house and headed towards the “Wagnerites” in order to be able to evacuate. He did not reach the Russian positions literally 50 meters, and his life was cut short by the blow of Ukrainian artillery. The elderly man received shrapnel wounds and died on the spot.

“Wagnerian” noted that the deceased man lived for a long time in the city where the fighting was going on, but eventually died from Ukrainian artillery.

Earlier, the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin and the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that as a result of the offensive of Wagner PMC attack aircraft, with the support of aviation and artillery of the South group of the Russian Armed Forces, the liberation of the city was completed. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Wagner PMC and the military armed forces of the Russian Federation on the liberation of the city of Artemovsk in the DPR. “Vladimir Putin congratulates the Wagner assault detachments, as well as all the servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces units, who provided them with the necessary support and flank cover, on the completion of the operation on Artemovsk,” the Kremlin press service said. The Kremlin noted that all those who distinguished themselves during this operation will be presented for state awards.

At the same time, the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuse to recognize the loss of Artemovsk.
