Wagner fighters said that they are actively using captured weapons in the battles for Artemovsk

Soldiers who are members of the Wagner group actively use captured weapons and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the battles for Artemovsk, including tanks and armored personnel carriers. RIA Novosti was told about this by one of the fighters, who is a member of the armored group and performs a number of tasks in this direction. He also noted that the Wagnerites are looking forward to the appearance of German Leopard tanks in order to use these combat vehicles against Ukrainian troops.

“Recently, we received an infantry fighting vehicle as a trophy during the battles near Bakhmut. At the moment, we have restored it and it will soon be ready for combat,” the fighter said, showing a captured armored personnel carrier.

He added that the Wagner group has a lot of captured weapons and armored vehicles, including about seven restored military vehicles of the Ukrainian army.

“If we have captured some weapon, then we must restore it, put it on alert and use it against the enemy. After all, we beat him with our own weapon, what could be better?” – said the fighter.

Artemovsk (Bakhmut) is located north of the large city of Gorlovka and is an important transport hub for supplying Ukrainian troops in the Donbass. Fierce fighting has been going on for control of the city for more than six months.
