Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that nominal wage growth in 2024 was 14%. Real income growth, he said, amounted to 7.8%.
“Indexation and payments and all the corresponding sets of social measures, the social treasury that we have, the unified allowance for children, played their role. That is, in this sense, real incomes are growing and this is an absolute fact,” Mr. Mishustin said at a meeting with the Communist Party faction. A recording of the meeting was published in Telegram channel government.
At the beginning of March, Rosstat reportedthat the population level below the poverty line at the end of 2023 decreased from 9.8% to 9.3%. Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova spokethat real wages have increased by more than 60% over the past six years.
