Vučić spoke sharply about the NATO mission in Kosovo

In his address to the citizens, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke sharply about the NATO mission in Kosovo and Metohija, known as KFOR. He stated that this mission failed to protect the Kosovo Serbs, and also did not interfere with the arbitrariness and violence on the part of the Kosovo Albanian authorities in the north of the region, despite the guarantees provided.
On Monday, thousands of Kosovo Serbs gathered in front of local government buildings in northern Kosovo and Metohija, demanding the withdrawal of the Kosovo police and the recall of the Kosovo Albanian mayors. KFOR forces and Kosovo police were deployed around the city halls. During clashes between protesters and law enforcement agencies, tear gas, stun grenades were used, and shots were also heard.
As a result of these clashes, 52 Serbs sought medical attention at a hospital in north Mitrovica. Among the injured were three seriously wounded, including Dragish Galyak, who was hit by two bullets, as well as the former head of the Zvecan municipality, Dr. Dragisha Milovic, and Časlav Sofronijevic, who were seriously injured by rubber bullets. In addition, four Serbs were detained by security forces.
