Vucic plans to form a new Serbian government in February

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, whose Serbia Must Not Stop coalition won recent parliamentary elections, said a new cabinet would likely be formed in February.

Balkan media quote the Serbian leader as saying that the new parliament will begin work in January. This will make it possible to form a government in another month, in February.

In Serbia, on December 17, early elections were held to the National Assembly, as well as to the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and 65 local legislative assemblies.

According to initial estimates, about 47% of voters voted for the “Serbia Must Not Stop” coalition led by Vučić’s Serbian Progressive Party.
