Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić convenes a meeting for May 30 with representatives of the Quinta – the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy – due to the aggravation in Kosovo. As the conflict escalated in the northern municipality of Zvecan, in the breakaway republic, 52 Serbs and 41 KFOR peacekeepers were wounded. After addressing the population of Serbia, the president intended to go to the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija to the Serbian army and spend the night there to monitor the situation.

New clashes took place today in the city of Zvecan in the north of the province between protesting Serbs and KFOR, according to the Serbian newspaper Vecherne Novosti. As a result, more than fifty people were injured – such data leads Serbian portal Danas.

In the morning, Kosovo police fired tear gas at Zvecan municipality workers who tried to enter the building several times. At the same time, the Serbs offered only non-violent resistance and offered chocolate and coffee to the KFOR members.

In turn, Kurti today wrote on his Twitter account about a conversation with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, during which he agreed that it is necessary to implement the main agreement and calm the situation in northern Kosovo.
