How reports Pink TV channel, Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic urgently convened a meeting of the country’s National Security Council amid a wave of protests in Belgrade, which resulted in riots.

“The meeting of the National Security Council, initiated by President Vučić, has begun amid protests at the Belgrade Assembly,” the statement said.

Details of the meeting are not provided.

Earlier it became known that demonstrators tried to storm the Serbian Parliament building in Belgrade. Law enforcement officers were forced to use tear gas to disperse the protesters.
