Vučić fears aggravation in Kosovo and intensification of Kyiv’s counter-offensive for the NATO summit
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on TV Prva that he expects soon a big offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the NATO summit in Vilnius, which was scheduled for July 11-12.
According to Vucic, the offensive can develop in two directions – “one near Bakhmut (Artemovsk, – Ed.), the other, larger, towards Energodar and Melitopol.”
“I think that they have prepared several dozen brigades and will break through the Russian defenses in that part,” the Serbian leader expressed his opinion.
He stressed that he is not “rooting” for anyone, but fears that this will happen with huge casualties.
Vucic believes that Kyiv will take similar actions before the NATO summit in order to get an “open ticket” in Vilnius for membership in the alliance. Also, according to the President of Serbia, Kiev is confident that a major offensive can change the course of hostilities.
At the same time, he expressed concern that, along with the start of the second stage of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kosovo Albanian Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Pristina would launch a new round of persecution of Kosovo Serbs and called on compatriots to “take care of yourself and beware.”
