Vucic announced the withdrawal of recognition of Kosovo by seven countries

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s safe contains seven official diplomatic notes about the withdrawal of recognition of Kosovo’s independence, the documents have not yet been published. This was announced on Saturday in a televised address to the nation by the head of state, transmits TASS.

“At the moment, in my safe and in the safe of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, there are seven documents on the withdrawal of recognition. We worked and were successful, the number of such documents increased from four to seven,” Vučić said.

According to him, the documents will be published if Pristina tries to submit new applications for membership in international organizations.

In mid-May, Vucic convened a meeting of the Security Council because of Kosovo’s application for membership in the Council of Europe. “By this, they showed that they had destroyed, rudely crossed the Washington agreement. After nine years of violating the Brussels Agreement, now the Washington Agreement. Our job is not to fall into hatred,” the president said. After that, Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovich said that four states were ready to withdraw the recognition of Kosovo, and the corresponding diplomatic notes of the representatives of these states had already been transferred to Vučić. What kind of states, Selakovich did not specify.

To date, the independence of Kosovo is recognized by about 100 UN members, including the United States, Great Britain, Japan, as well as 22 of the 27 EU countries. Russia is not among these states. According to the Serbian constitution, the territory of Kosovo is part of the republic and is part of it as the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, but in fact Kosovo is not controlled by Belgrade. Russia does not recognize the independence of Kosovo.
