As part of the three-year strategy of VTB Leasing (MOEX: VTBR) plans to increase the leasing portfolio by one and a half times – from 953 billion rubles. in 2023 up to 1.5 trillion rubles. by the end of 2026. According to him, the main catalyst for the development of the area will be the auto leasing of freight and passenger transport, the company’s active work in the segments of trains, water transport and equipment.

According to VTB Leasing estimates, annual growth in the car leasing segment will be more than 15%. At the same time, in 2026 the growth in sales will be up to 50 thousand cars and equipment. The share of clients representing the small and medium-sized enterprise segment will be 80% by 2026.

“VTB Leasing’s share in this segment of the Russian market in 2026 is planned to be more than 15%. This will be facilitated by the company’s increase in the volume of financing of cargo, passenger and specialized equipment for Russian companies engaged in logistics, construction, retail, utilities and infrastructure projects,” said Mr. Musatov.

The railway segment is one of the largest in the corporate activity of VTB Leasing. The company estimates that annual growth in this segment will be at least 10%. VTB Leasing’s market share in this area will reach 30% by 2026.

“In 2026, new business may exceed more than 150 billion rubles. The drivers will be the need to replace the retiring fleet and the high workload of enterprises. By the end of 2026, the company is expected to renew about 20 thousand cars on the network, since the standard service life of more than 100 thousand cars of various types will expire,” said Anton Musatov. In the segments of water transport, oil and gas, telecommunications, IT, energy and medical equipment, VTB Leasing expects growth of at least 10% annually.
