New Zealand has introduced a price ceiling for Russian oil – Kommersant

New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters announced on the introduction of a new package of anti-Russian sanctions. The country joined the G7 and introduced a price ceiling for oil from the Russian Federation. Restrictions were introduced against 45 people and 16 organizations.

Approved, that the new sanctioned entities “created conditions for circumventing sanctions” or “facilitated the purchase and transfer of military equipment.” In addition, New Zealand clarified the ban on the export of a number of goods to Russia and Belarus through third countries.

The updated list of sanctions identifies nine people for whom restrictions will begin to apply on March 1. Among them are Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who fled to the Russian Federation, former Minister of Transport, General Director of State Transport Leasing Company Yevgeny Dietrich, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kronstadt Group of Companies and Advisor to the General Director of UAC Boris Aleshin, relatives of the former Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika, relatives of the founder of AFK Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov and relatives Suleiman Kerimov.

On the second anniversary of the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine, Kyiv’s allies introduced new packages of anti-Russian sanctions. New restrictions were announced by the USA, EU, UK, Australia and a number of other countries.
