VTB announced the cost of the transaction for the purchase of the developer MIC by Samolet

VTB fully financed the transaction of the group of companies “Airplane” for the purchase of the developer MIC in the amount of 45.6 billion rubles. This was reported by the bank’s press service.

The head of the VTB corporate and investment business unit, Vitaly Sergeychuk, among the features of the transaction, highlighted the presence of fixed and variable components in the calculations for the transaction, as well as the fact that the sellers of the assets were individuals.

“Airplane” reported on the closing of the transaction for the purchase of the MIC development group on October 16. The perimeter of the transaction included the entire existing business of the MIC Group, including land plots, management companies, as well as 11 projects at the design and construction stage and more than 50 companies that were part of the MIC Group.

The transaction amount was not specified at that time. Samolet only reported that payment would be made in several tranches using bank financing.

The acquisition of MIC will allow Samolet to increase its current construction throughout Russia from 3.6 million to 4.2 million square meters. m. According to Andrey Ivanenko, chief executive officer at Samolet Moscow, as a result of the transaction, Samolet’s market share in the Moscow region will increase by 5 percentage points to 18%.

The fact that Samolet intends to buy the MITs group, Vedomosti reported in June. The transaction amount was estimated at 40–60 billion rubles. Then the experts interviewed called the deal the largest in the residential development segment.
